- Prospective for two significant uranium exploration targets:
- Cluff Lake style uranium deposits in basement rocks within the Carswell structure close to the unconformity with sandstones of the Athabasca Group.
- Shea Creek style unconformity uranium deposits associated with conductors within broad magnetic lows.
- Adjoins former Cluff Lake mine that produced 62.5 million pounds U3O8
- Has an exploration database derived from over forty years of exploration including over six hundred drill holes, Geotem airborne surveys and detailed ground geophysical and geochemical surveying and prospecting.
- Significant results include:
- Drill intersection of 0.85 per cent U3O8 over 2.5 metres within basement rocks.
- Four groups of uranium mineralized boulders containing up to 19.3 per cent U3O8 and 2.9 grams per tonne gold.
- The sources for these groups of mineralized boulders have not been discovered and are likely to be on Cluff project property.
- Geotem geophysical conductors within a broad magnetic low trough on strike with mineralized conductors in the Shea Creek area fifteen kilometers southeasterly.
- Drill hole near western boundary of property intersected basement at depth of 726 metres.
- The property covers the northern two thirds of the Carswell structure, host to the Cluff Lake uranium deposits.
- Land position of 68,432 hectares (169,099 acres)
Exploration 2005-2006
An exploration program designed for the Cluff Project will consist of airborne, geophysical, electromagnetic and mag surveys with a 200 meter line spacing, boulder sampling to map alteration pattern associated with "blind" unconformity-type uranium deposits and exploration drilling.
