ESO is one of the largest landholders and most active explorers in the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan, Canada, the world's most prolific uranium district, accounting for more than 30% of global uranium supply.
The Company's Cluff Lake Project with partners Hathor Exploration, Int. KRL Resources and Logan Resources in the Western Athabasca Basin is adjoining the former Cluff Lake Mine, which produced 65 million pounds of uranium oxide (U3O8).
In the Eastern Athabasca Basin, ESO holds a portion of claims which is adjacent to claims controlled by Areva Resources. This part of the Athabasca Basin is home to not only the largest, but also the richest uranium deposits in the world, including Cameco's McArthur and Cigar Lake mines.
ESO has made exploration expenditures to date amounting to over Cdn$ 5.25 million on its uranium properties in the Athabasca Basin. A further Cdn$ 6 million is budgeted for continuing programs in 2007.
The Company is well financed having raised in excess of Cdn$ 9 million in December 2006.
ESO is one of our favourite uranium exploration plays within the Athabasca Basin.
